The Cosmetology Academy, a division of SBCC (located in Goleta) would like to enthusiastically welcome our new college President, Andreea M. Serban, Ph.D.

To become a licensed Cosmetologist in California, Stateboard requires 1600 hours of training and education. That’s a lot of working on the dollheads, hair cuts, blow drying, facials, and perms all to say the least. As aspiring cosmetologists, we love hair; we are are eager to learn more about styling and new trends in the cosmetology industry. ABOUT THE BLOG ADMINISTRATOR: Juana Hernandez. I have been a Cosmetology instructor for 25 years and I am passionate about helping students through the learning process. I have been a licensed Cosmetologist since 1983 and also have my teacher's credential which I received through UCLA extension in 1989. I have an Associates of Arts from Rio Hondo College and my Bachelors degree in Vocational Education from California State Los Angeles. I anticipate finishing my Masters degree in Industrial and Technological Education at the end of 2008.
